Job Summary

The STEM Stories project is a collaboration between Teachers College and some public elementary schools in New York.

We aim to support elementary school educators in developing students’ research and STEM skills, knowledge, and dispositions; to document, design, and enhance elementary teachers’ curricular and instructional repertoires around STEM concepts; and to strengthen and broaden parents’ understanding of STEM to include the diverse community contexts that the students in these schools call home.

I joined this project as a Subject Matter Expert in coding and programming. I designed the curriculum and each class lesson plan for three months.

Students Final Project Examples

We used code.org as the tool for students’ coding. To allow them to understand the relationship between coding and their daily life, we instructed the situation where they can find coding and the fundamental skillset for coding, computational thinking.
